Technical advisory on strategy, regulation and smart-grid integration of renewables

Focus: energy strategy, regulation, grid digitalisation, flexibility (incl. BESS), data/AI-enabled planning and operations.
Role: technical advisory and programme structuring.

  • Objective: Strengthen the enabling framework for a modern, flexible power system.
  • Approach: Policy/regulatory support combined with targeted technical deep dives on grid integration and digital tools.
  • Expected result: Faster, more reliable integration of variable renewables.

Tanzania · ProWaS / EU-SASA (ongoing)

Water and sanitation systems strengthening with EU co-financing

Focus: utility performance and service delivery improvements (water / wastewater), incl. EU-SASA logframe change with priority themes (e.g., green infrastructure / nature-based solutions).
Role: results/logframe structuring and change-offer support (BMZ + EU requirements).

  • Objective: Improve municipal service delivery and sustainability of water/wastewater systems.
  • Approach: Targeted technical assistance, governance / process improvements and capacity development.
  • EU value-add: co-financing used to extend and sharpen priorities (incl. NbS and additional partnerships).
